At Home with the Toblers

If everyone in the world was like Jill and Rob, we'd be in good shape. They are so down to earth and kind. And are quite literally the best parents I've ever seen. They have the balancing act of parenting down to an art. Every moment is an opportunity to teach and it shows through Tess. This girl is crazy intelligent, but still a little girl who is just showered with love. People like this restore my faith in humanity! So grateful I get to document this for a living. 

The Romphs

Its been so fun to see this little family evolve. From being there for Kelsey and Trent's first date, then proposal, to seeing them embrace parenthood with little Brindslee. And to think I've known Kelsey since Kindergarten. Life is amazing to watch. 

Cooper

I never thought I'd primarily photograph newborns. My first experience I can remember going to a Maternity Ward was in achievement days at the age of 9. It freaked me out. All those new crying, helpless babies...and the mothers that had just pushed them out.

I feel a little different now (a little), although sometimes I get annoyed during a shoot when I move a baby or un swaddle it and it screams and cries, most of the time I really am in awe. In awe of these brand new humans that 24 hours ago were inside a womb. That we all used to be just like them. That I started out like this. I often wonder what kind of people these babies will be when they grow up. What they will experience in their lives. When we make eye contact, I wonder what they really understand. I'm humbled every day at what their mothers have just accomplished, and getting to see a new life begin.

I just love these three girls. Although I miss having them be little toddlers waddling around, it has been so fun to see them become such beautiful young ladies!

Man, I love my job. Its been awhile since I've posted, I'm not allowed to post photo shoots of my clients from my job. So many great moments I get to be a part of everyday, but yes, those moments are just for that new little family.  So I'm always excited when I get to just go inside someone's house for an afternoon and document the lives in there, and share this one year old's smile with you.
